كما تم استعراض تاريخ إنشاء المتحف منذ تخصيص موقعه عام 1992 وتوقفه في عام 2011، ثم استئناف العمل به من جديد، واستعراض ماحصل عليه المتحف من شهادات جودة وشهادات استدامة بيئية منها 8 شهادات أيزو للمشروع خاصة في ضوء كونه مشروع صديق للبيئة، وحصولة على جائزة المبنى الأخضر لمنتدى البيئة والتنمية عام 2022.
The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities received members from the House of Representatives and the Senate and heads of their various committees at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
They were given a tour of the museum’s open sections after the recent start of their trial operation, along with the interactive King Tutankhamun exhibition.
The history of the museum’s establishment was also reviewed since the allocation of the site in 1992 and its cessation in 2011. The project was then resumed and mention was given to the quality and environmentally sustainable certificates the museum obtained, including 8 ISO certificates for the project, especially in light of it being an environmentally friendly project, and the Green Building Award at the Environment & Development Forum 2022.
